At least 50 civilians, mainly women and children, have been killed in overnight Nato bombing raid on residential homes in Afghanistan. The tragedy comes during three days of Muslim holidays marking Eid al-Fitr, the end of Ramadan. The deaths follow a five-hour raid in the Panjwayi district of Kandahar and were confirmed by local officials and tribal elders. "It was late at night, that might be the reason they didn't know where to bomb," provincial assembly member Agha Lalai said.
